Women of Faith Weekend

This weekend absolutely rocked! Mom2 bought Joani and I tickets to the Women of Faith "Infinite Grace" conference. It was jam-packed with funny and moving speakers, and awesome praise music. My favorite speaker was Sheila Walsh and my fave singer was Nicole C. Mullen. I've always loved her but had no idea she was going to be singing.
So the guys were nice enough to watch the kids so we could go do our girl-thing. Gramps even chauffered us!

Happy Birthday, Dear Camden

What better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to have my sweet boy turn 2 years old?! After receiving the mug Daddy made me with Camden's picture on it and a "hand-potted" plant Camden gave me, we had a nice service at Church and a long nap at home. Then we took Camden to Chuck E. Cheese!!! He loved it!! He got a big bubble blower, a new car and lots of cool new clothes from family. 2 years old...we still can't believe it!
Hope all you Mommies had a Happy Mother's Day too.

Camden and Jake's Birthday Bash at the Beach

Cousin Jake turned 3 on April 30th (Happy B-day, dude!) and since Camden turns 2 on May 11th, Nana and Gramps figured it was a good reason to rent our favorite condo at St. Augustine. We had a blast eating cake and ice cream, building the ultimate sand castle, wading in the ocean and playing in the pool. Thanks Gramps and Nana for another wonderful retreat! We love you!!!

Therapy Update

Camden had a great PT session yesterday. We didn't get pics of it, but I put a pic of the kind of walker he's graduating up to. Most of you are familiar with his "Pony Walker". But the walker pictured is a step up, and blends all the areas Lisa has been working on: stabilizing while standing + "one, two" stepping. A first: He took a few steps without any human assistance, just relying on the walker! It took much pep-talking, though. Camden lately is fussy and whiny--it's obviously hard work and he doesn't want to do it, I don't blame him! But we're trying to correct that behavior when it happens.
His speech therapist says he is more verbal now, experimenting with more sounds.
And we're starting to work on his communication board, which will allow him to point to his choice of 2 items at a time to communicate what he wants.
(Look in the smaller picture...Camden backs into this walker and his arms are strapped down w/ velcro for support).
