Buddies

This has got to be the best shot of the whole weekend....Jake and Camden are best buds!

Weekend at Nana's

This past weekend, Camden went over to Nana's house in Tallahassee. Kevin's birthday was the 23rd (he's now 35--man is he old!!) and we were delighted to learn that the entire Bailey clan came into town to help celebrate. There was Aunt Ash, Uncle Jon, Gramps, Nana, Aunt Joani, Uncle Sam and of course, Camden's super-cool cousins Maddie and Jake. Even Ashley's main squeeze, Bob came over. We had fun bouncing on the trampoline, visiting with Camden's lady-Olivia and Beth, going to the FSU baseball game and hanging out with the fam. Camden ate his first Cheerios! And Nana bought a huge, fluffy duck for the kids (which Maddie has affectionately named Fudgcicle...don't ask us why!)

Weekend Pics

Well, Daddy is back from the Youth Retreat (thank goodness--We missed him!). And Grandma and Grandpa are by now back in North Carolina. They came down for the weekend and hung out with Camden and I. On Saturday we mainly lounged around the house and let Camden entertain us. (He's still trying to get the hang of sitting up on his own.) Then on Sunday we met Aunt Betsy halfway at Starke and had breakfast at Shoney's. We brought along the baby food mill and served Camden breakfast fresh off the buffet! Afterwards we found a nearby park and Camden had his first playground experience---Man, did he love it! We had to give him a little help with the slide but the bouncie-thing and the swings he had a blast on. Then we hit a Goodwill to see if we could find some bargains and got to play around a little more before heading back to Jacksonville. This morning Grandma and Grandpa dropped Cam off at school before they hit the road. We were sorry to see them go...they are always so much fun to have around! But we were ready to get Daddy back...when we picked him up from Church (they pulled in around 8:15 pm) he was so excited to see his little guy, he left his suitcase there! We'll get it tomorrow---It's good to have him home.

By the way, our little guy is 9 MONTHS OLD!!! Aaaaaaaaaaa! I have informed him that he is growing entirely too fast and he has been warned to slow it down.

Camden's weekend away with the girls

This past weekend, I took Camden to Gainesville to stay at Aunt Betsy's house. His Aunt Katie and "Aunt Marisa" were there too and it was great catching up with all the girls. They all oogled over Camden and Aunt Katie even changed a massive poopie. Betsy was a great hostess---she cooked for us and everything. And Aunt Mary, Uncle David, Sarah and James just happened to be in Gainesville Sat. night so they stopped by too! We had so much fun!
Daddy stayed home to study for a test he will take soon to become a teacher. (After taking the competency test, because he already has a degree, he can hop into teaching right away and make more money.) Daddy sure missed his little guy, and this weekend he goes away to the Church youth retreat so he'll miss him again. But male counselors were desperately needed...Kevin rocks!!
What I'm also looking forward to is this coming weekend when Grandma and Grandpa come into town. Then, the following weekend we travel to Tallahassee to see Nana and Gramps for Kevin's birthday. (We also plan on seeing Camden's girlfriend, Olivia and my friend Beth).
But first Camden and I have to get rid of our colds...yuck. And man, does he holler when I try to unclog his nose! Wish I had some sort of sedative...

Hey all!

Sorry, guys--I've been slacking!
Camden's little chair finally came in, but he's been sitting up now for a few weeks. It was Aunt Joani that discovered that he could! She figured out that we weren't spreading his legs wide enough for a stable base. Anyways, we're still practicing with him every day. More pics will be posted soon, so stay tuned....
